CUAV provides an interactive workshop series for LGBTQ survivors of violence to work on the following wellness skills: self-determination, self-love, boundary-setting and request-making. These workshops are art-based and tailored to meet the needs of participants.
This is a 3-part series, and each workshop can be attended individually or as a complete series.
- The first workshop will cover Trans 101 / Gender 101, inviting participants to explore and deepen their understanding of gender and gender-based violence as experienced by trans and cis people in the LGBTQ+ community.
- The second workshop will focus on Supporting Queer & Trans Survivors’ Self-Determination. In this interactive session, participants will become familiar with the dynamics of LGBTQ+ domestic violence (DV) and intimate partner violence (IPV), and develop trauma-informed tools to support survivors' self-determination.
- The third workshop will provide foundational wellness skills, including self-love, boundary-setting, and request-making.
Space is limited. Call (415) 355-5616 to sign up or complete this registration form.
Simultaneous Spanish/English translation services will be available to attendees.
