Join us in Portola's Month of Paper Cranes. Learn how to fold a paper crane using origami paper. For the month of May, we are accepting donations of paper cranes. Our goal is to have 500 cranes.

On Saturday, May 31st, we will assemble a Senbazuru (One Thousand Cranes).

Weaving Stories: Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Interest

Programs and workshops, book recommendations and more relating to the Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) heritage.

Weaving Stories is the Library's celebration of the many diverse histories and cultures from AANHPI communities.

Make + Do

Find inspiration through craft programs featuring talented artists, makers and even your local librarians. For craft programs, all materials are provided, unless noted.

Japanese Interest

Connect to engaging discussions and performances related to the Japanese community and culture.
