Mental Health 101
Tuesday, 10/29/2024
6:00 - 7:00

The presentation addresses mental health topics such as diversity, prevalence, contributing factors, warning signs, self-harm and suicide, and strategies for supporting oneself and others, with a focus on the Asian/Asian American experience. It also features peer speakers who share their personal experiences with managing mental health conditions, offering humanizing stories of hope and recovery. The goal is to reduce the stigma associated with mental health, cover essential mental health concepts, create a space for connecting through lived experiences, and provide information on local resources and services. This presentation will be conducted in Cantonese and is presented by Kelly Ma, the Chinese Liaison from NAMI SF.
