Enjoy a love-inspired pre-Valentine's Day guitar-and-vocalist concert presented in collaboration with the Groupmuse worker and musician-owned cooperative. Seating will begin at 2:30, with the hour-long concert starting at 3pm, followed by light refreshments and discussion with our guest artists, guitarist Lisa Liu and vocalist-accoridianist Adrienne Reed. Space limited.

You may register in advance at groupmuse.com to help us gauge interest, although registration does not guarantee a seat.

Liu has performed around the world at many Guitar and Jazz Festivals and teaches guitar and music theory at her local studio. She specializes in the style of Django Reinhardt, a genre of music that originated in France in the 1930s. It was heavily influenced by Louis Armstrong, Swing, and WWII.  Billboard Magazine said "Liu performs with a confident grace that reveals an intuitive command of her instrument, and her versatile picking style ranges from a playful nimbleness to straight-up jammin."  And an enthusiastic concert guest said "You leave a concert with the songs in your head as if you've known them and Lisa forever!"

Reed grew up playing classical piano and started accompanying children’s choirs on piano in 2005. Her dual Franco-American citizenship and love of playing accordion, singing vocal jazz, and swing dancing lead her to become a founding member in the all-female small hot club ensemble Lulu Swing, in which she plays regularly at festivals, ballrooms, and restaurants throughout the west coast.

Liu and Reed plan on playing J'attendrai, La Vie en Rose, Dance Me to the End of Love and other cherished favorites.
