Explore the financial dynamics of the "sandwich generation"—those caring for aging parents while supporting their children—and discover strategies to navigate these unique challenges.

Longer life expectancy has increased the need for caregivers, and many couples are starting families later in life. A 2013 Pew Research report found nearly half of adults in their 40s and 50s have a parent over 65 and are supporting a child. About one in seven provides financial support to both. As a result, many in their 40s, 50s, and 60s juggle responsibilities for both older and younger generations.
