Celebrate the beginning of Summer Stride with the Excelsior Branch Library at Hawk Creek Farm (203 Cotter Street, San Francisco, CA 94112), an educational urban farm located on unceded territory of the Ramaytush Ohlone people providing programs for adults, students and families to develop skills, understanding and love for land stewardship.
- 11:00 a.m. – Gather and walk from Excelsior Branch, with an Excelsior Branch librarian
- 11:15 a.m. – Family-friendly farm activities with Hawk Creek Farm staff
- 12:30 p.m. – Presentation by Cafe Ohlone: Cafe Ohlone co-founders Vincent Medina and Louis Trevino share about the role of food in Ohlone culture past and present. A light snack and tea tasting will be provided.
