Learn the basics of coding through discussion, activities, Scratch and Python with high school volunteers from the STEM Stairway project. Offering a beginner-friendly programming class to introduce foundational coding concepts and curriculum. Every first and third Sunday of the month. For children ages 9 and older. Space limited. Reservations required: (415) 355-5700.

Make + Do

Find inspiration through craft programs featuring talented artists, makers and even your local librarians. For craft programs, all materials are provided, unless noted.

Science

Gain a new perspective on and understanding of the world through programs on the sciences.

Summer Stride

Summer Stride is the Library's annual summer learning, reading and exploration program for all ages and abilities. Read and learn with the Library all summer long.

This program is sponsored by Friends of the San Francisco Public Library.

Attending Programs

All programs are drop-in (no registration necessary) unless otherwise noted. All SFPL locations are wheelchair accessible. For accommodations (such as ASL), call (415) 557-4557 or contact accessibility@sfpl.org. Requesting at least 3 business days in advance will help ensure availability.
