Build your digital skills and earn a certificate to share with employers during this in-person proctored session using Northstar Digital Literacy. Explore self-paced tutorials and assessments on Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, basic computer and internet skills, job search tools, and more.

Important Details:

  • No registration is required for this session.
  • To participate, bring a personal email address and be ready to access it during the session.
  • To earn a certificate, please bring valid photo identification.
  • You may practice or take the assessment during this session, but please note:
    ➤ Only two assessment attempts are allowed within a 24-hour period.
    ➤ If you take an assessment earlier that day, it will count toward this limit during the proctored session.

Northstar Digital Literacy is a self-paced, standards-based platform that helps adults build and assess essential digital skills needed for work, education, and daily life. Get ready ahead of time by creating an account on the Northstar Digital Literacy website. You can start practicing anytime using your personal email. Need help getting started? This program takes place on desktop computers. Wired headphones are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own wired headphones.
