Presentation: Careers in Photography

Tuesday, 7/1/2025
2:00 - 3:00

Liam Clickenger shares insights from his unconventional career, offering guidance on building a successful path in photography—whether through freelance work, artistic practice, or industry applications. His talk will explore essential steps for launching a photography career, choosing the right equipment, leveraging technology for creative expression, and sustaining a long-term practice in the arts.

A photographer, educator, and business leader with over 20 years of experience, Clickenger’s work spans fine art, commercial advertising, industrial, aerial, and scientific photography. He has taught at City College of San Francisco and Academy of Art University, developed advanced digital imaging curricula, and served as Executive Director of American Photographic Artists San Francisco. As Managing Partner of Capitol Art Studios, he worked with national and global brands while mentoring emerging creatives. His deep commitment to mentorship and holistic growth has also led him to personal development coaching, where he helps people navigate transitions and cultivate a fulfilling life through an integral approach.
