A reading featuring members of the AfroSolo Theatre Company's Black Women's Writing Workshop and the Dr. George W. Davis Senior Center's "Intergenerational Program."

Come and experience the carefully crafted stories by women writers with more than five hundred years of lived experiences as Black women. With an age range from 45 to 84 and a multitude of life experiences, you will experience the humor, maturity, lessons learned, vulnerability, and resilience that only come with age and a lifetime of experiences.

The workshops are taught by Thomas Robert Simpson, the Artistic and Executive Director of the AfroSolo Theatre Company, now in its third decade.

Readers include Donna Ferguson, Toni Hines, Zubedah Lynch, Augustene Phillips, Libah Sheppard and Denise Sweet.

Funded by Grants for the Arts, San Francisco Arts Commission, Kenneth Rainin Foundation, Dream Keeper Initiative, California Arts Council and AfroSolo Theatre Company. In partnership with Yerba Buena Gardens Festival, the African American Arts and Culture Complex, Intersection for the Arts, The Flow Fund, Bayview Senior Services, Society for Community Work, Formerly Incarcerated People's Performance Project and the San Francisco Public Library.

Light refreshments served.
