The APIA Biography Project enters its 12th annual AANHPI Heritage Month celebration at the Main Library with a kickoff event. This year’s theme takes flight into the magical world of storytelling and children’s literature by highlighting award-winning APIA (Asian Pacific Islander American) picture book authors and illustrators through book displays, games, and craft activities. Meet and read with local authors Oliver Chin and Traci Huahn. Throughout May, visit apiabiography.sfsu.edu to access videos, activities, and resources. View the “Wall of Fame” exhibit at the Children’s Center featuring Caldecott award recipients and participate in a scavenger hunt. The first 50 children ages 12 and under get a free prize bag!
