Free Classes and Programs During Tech Week at San Francisco Public Library, May 11–18
San Francisco, April 26 — San Francisco Public Library (SFPL) joins with community partners to host dozens of free programs during Tech Week, May 11–18. From educational opportunities to entertaining activities, there are offerings for participants of all ages and skill levels. Programs include basic tech help, AI education, fraud prevention, robotics and music workshops.
“There is so much talk about tech and AI, especially here in San Francisco, and we want to empower people to learn and build their digital literacy skills,” says SFPL’s Digital Equity Manager Maricela Leon-Barrera. “Whether you are a beginner or a pro, looking to have fun or interested in learning more about AI and the future of technology, there is something for everyone during Tech Week.”
To bridge the digital divide, Tech Week takes place throughout San Francisco, at various Library and partner locations, as well as online, with some programs in Spanish and Chinese. It is an opportunity for the community to learn and explore all that technology has to offer.
SF Tech Week is produced by two dozen San Francisco and Bay Area organizations, including Tech Exchange, Dev/Mission, Community Living Campaign and Tenderloin Tech Lab, that provide technology training and resources. The full schedule is at sfpl.org/techweek.
