The Daniel E. Koshland San Francisco History Center contains a research collection of books, newspapers and magazines, photographs, maps, posters, archives and manuscript collections, and ephemera, documenting all aspects of San Francisco life and history. The Center is also the archives for the City and County of San Francisco.

Class Visits and Tours
We welcome class visits and group tours of the San Francisco History Center. If you are interested in bringing your class/group to visit, please contact us at least two weeks in advance at (415) 557-4567 or sfhistory@sfpl.org. Let us know the name of your organization or school, what aspect of the collection would be of interest to your students/group, grade level and how many people in the group and which days and times you are available to come to the library.
